`Urban Decay Naked Palette 3 review and swatches

For Christmas I received the infamous Naked 3 palette by Urban Decay from my boyfriend after choosing with naked palette I'd rather have first (it was mainly between 1 and 3)

It came to me wrapped in a hardy board board box sealed tightly in 2 layers of glad wrap.
Around the outside of the box of the palatte there was lovely purple tissue paper and then finally the box.

At first I was a little anxious about its authenticity as there are many fake naked palettes around on eBay e.t.c and they looked really similar from each other
After a hard scan I was sure it was legit ☺️~ Phew ~

I was also anxious about how well the colour would show up on my skin tone as I get tanned in summer and the colours might just blend into my skin tone😨

The Naked 3 Palette comes with the palette itself with a crease and shadow eyeshadow brush inside and a mini booklet of 4 different Urban Decay eye primer potion samples
( Original, Eden, sin and anti-aging)

The booklet

Original and Eden:
Original; undercover primer potion that keeps colour in place
Eden; A nude matte formula that preps the kids and prevents eyeshadow meltdown

Sin and anti-aging
Sin; A shimmering formula that prevents fading and creasing
Anti-aging; makes eyeshadow last and in an 8 week study, 100% of participants had a measurable improvement in the appearance of find lines and wrinkles as well as brighter skin, radience and clarity.

Back of the booklet, the left side of the photo is eyeshadow without any primer while the right is with primer

The palatte also comes with an eyeshadow brush for crease and shadow.

It's a dual ended brush. The quality is ok. But compared to my bubbi dual ended eyeshadow brush, my bubbi brushe wins.

Comparasion of swatches with my bubbi brush on the left and the urban decay brush on the right with the shade Buzz

As you can see, my bubbi brushes picks up more colour and the micro sparkles as well, and the urban decay brush doesn't give off as much colour and also doesn't pick up the micro sparkles.

The naked palette itself is really lovely and reminds me of a chocolate bar 😀 i love the packaging because it's made out of metal and not plastic which seems sturdier and less likely to break. It's not bulky either which is great for travelling. There is also a long mirror inside which is super handy and a dip which contains the eyeshadow brush.

Natural light photo

With flash on the palette, this is basically what the colours look like under bright natrual light too.

The colours themselves are nicely pigmented, although I expected it to be amazingly pigmented from the reviews I've read and seen about it. I'd say the pigmentation level is slightly lesser or around the same as my maybelline duo marbled eyeshadows.

Some swatches

My arms get pretty tanned in summer and it's probably not the same colour as my face at the moment. The swatches are in order of the palette. With flash on

My the first three colours are almost blended in >.<

Overall review; While some say that this palette isn't a must and only something that maybe you should have if you're a makeup junkie or collecting, I think this palette is still really nice to have although hard to find and a little pricy to buy.

The shades are all really nicely created and they compliment each other well.

The colour pay off is really nice and strong and blends really easily.

This palette would probably suit people with cooler tones or lighter skin as some shades are pretty light and may not show up as well. Although I do love how this palette has really natrual colours and is great for casual or formal wear.
I'm in love ❤️❤️😍
